The Wonder boy who banged in three goals against the Tahitians in the confederations cup and was instrumental to the defeat of the Bafana Bafana of South Africa by the Super Eagles in the Mandela Challenge game, arrived Nigeria two days ago from his base in Brescia Italy. He immediately departed Lagos yesterday for Calabar, where the Super Eagles are camped for their September 7 crucial world cup qualifier game against Malawi.
During a short chat with him, he showed a lot of courage and optimism that the game against Malawi would be a success. In his words " though I wasn't around for the first leg against Malawi, the best tactic for the team to employ is not to underestimate or underrate the Malawians. They would definitely try to be physical but I'm sure that by the grace of God victory will be ours"
Nnamdi's extreme humility is a virtue which other stars should try to emulate.
