Breaking News: Police Cordon off UNILAG gates to foil students protest

The gates leading to the University of Lagos have been cordoned off, by a team of Policemen, deployed yesterday to foil the planned students protest which has finally kicked off today. Students mobilized themselves via social networks and are currently protesting without fear of the presence of armed personnel.

There is no going in or coming out through the University gates as Armoured vehicles have been used to obstruct any movement into or outside the school.  They are protesting over the the almost 3 months old strike entered by ASUU against the Federal government, which has paralysed Nigerian Universities for so long.

Expect more updates.
