Supersport to employ pidgin commentator

Supersport on Wednesday launched "Follow Ya Mouth", the search for a pidgin commentator to help satisfy the needs of Nigerian audiences. Speaking at the official launch of the initiative in Lagos, General Manager of SuperSport West Africa, Felix Awogu, said the channel wants to make use of the popular language every Nigerian understands.

"We are looking for Nigerians, who can play with typical pidgin words on air and are also passionate about the league. It promises to be a unique experience for every participant," he said. The winner of the search will get the opportunity to commentate on the Glo Premier League, which he said now boasts several Super Eagles stars, and receive a one-year contract.
Auditions are to be held in Lagos and Port Harcourt for participants within 21-36 years of age.
