APC will be registered soon- Ogbonnaya Onu

The National Chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), one of the three opposition parties negotiating for a merger, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has expressed optimism that the coalition’s new platform, the All Progressives Congress (APC), would be registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Onu, who said he paid the registration fee of the APC on behalf of all the other parties, assured that politics in our country will never be the same again if the party is registered.  “Having met all the requirements, the clock has started ticking.  By the grace of the Almighty God, the APC will soon be registered,” he said.
The ANPP’s chairman’s assertions were contained in a speech he delivered  at the first national leadership summit in honour of Prof. Eni Njoku, and organised by the Igbo Students Union, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos. Explaining the progress so far attained by the merging parties, Onu said all national chairmen, secretaries and treasurers of the parties had jointly applied to INEC for registration of a new political party.
