No Genk deal for Alampasu –Agent
The claim by a FIFA agent, Goke Oshotoba that Dele Alampasu, adjudged the best goalkeeper at the recently concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, is set to complete a move to Belgian side Genk, has been rubbished.
According to Olusola Orelaja, the FIFA agent who claims he has the consent of the player’s parents there is no truth in the story published by an online football website.
The London-based football agent said that the management team of the player has not signed any deal with any clubside in Europe.
“I am really surprised by the publication, I don’t know where they got the story, because Mr Oshotoba is not part of our team or representative of Dele, so he cannot talk on his behalf, we are still in talks with some of the clubs that have shown interest in having Dele on their pay roll, including Genk, but no agreement yet,” Orelaja told Tribunesport by phone from the United Kingdom.
He also disclosed that the player is a player of Future Star Academy and not Abuja Football Academy, saying the player who was a member of the Lagos State football gold-winning team to the 2012 National Sports Festival was only sent to the football academy on mutual understanding for the player to get respect and recognition.
