Tinubu arrives Nigeria today

A former Governor of Lagos State and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is due to return to the country on Saturday. Controversy has enveloped the failure of Tinubu to return to Nigeria after an announced surgery on his leg. The media has been awash with news that Tinubu was terminally ill and not just that he went for a surgery on his leg.
But a statement on Friday said that Tinubu will return to the country on Saturday. The statement, signed by Chief Funsho Ologunde, on behalf of the reception committee of the APC in Lagos State, said instead of the reception planned for Onikan Stadium, Lagos State, Tinubu will only address a press conference on arrival.
The press conference will take place in his Executive Jet, which is located between the Presidential Lounge of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport and the premises of the Nigeria Air Force. Ologunde said the reason for the change in plans was because of the crash of the Associated Airlines flight to Akure, Ondo State, on Thursday. Ologunde said in the statement: “Once more, on behalf of the All Progressives Congress, we hereby express our condolence to all the bereaved families and also pray for the eternal repose of the deceased Nigerians.”
