BREAKING NEWS: Governor Peter Obi and Willie Obiano cause stampede at Church Vigil in Anambra

An unspecified number of  people died in the early hours of this morning in a prayer house at Uke Idemili Anambra state, known as "Ebube Muonso". Governor Peter Obi and his Godson, Willie Obiano arrived the Prayer house at exactly 4:15am to address the congregation at the Vigil. Hell was let loose when Governor Obi mounted the podium to campaign for his Godson who was standing by his side as he delivered his speech.
As he spoke a section of the crowd started chanting Onwa! Onwa in allegiance to Dr Chris Ngige the APC gubernatorial candidate. Peter obi also promised to give the church N5million to tackle the erosion gully that has been affecting the church ground. But Ngige's supporters continued their loud chanting which made Gov Peter Obi security men to rush towards the chanting crowd. As the chanting crowd tried to run some people were stampeded to death. According to "Gist me Ansu" a news blog based in Anambra State, 30 people were stampeded to death while 200 people were seriously injured. I doubt the veracity of his claim because from the pictures below i can only see one corpse.





Lets see how this much anticipated and heated election campaign in Anambra turns out in a fortnight. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.

Minister of Aviation: Stella Oduah  The face-off over the registration or otherwise of a Bombadier aircraft owned by the Rivers State government took a twist on Thursday with the Federal Government threatening to prosecute Rivers for forgery. Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, said in a statement that the clearance documents used by the aircraft had been discovered to be forged, threatening that the state government would be prosecuted for the action which the minister said amounted to a violation of the nation’s aviation laws as well as other extant criminal laws of the land. The statement issued on behalf of the minister by her Special Assistant, Media, Joe Obi, reads in part, “The presentation of false information or forged documentation to regulatory authorities in the processing of official approvals or permits is clearly a serious violation of the Civil Aviation Act, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations and other extant criminal laws in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
