Ngige Clinches APC Ticket For Anambra Governorship Election

Senator Chris Ngige has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra state. The process of the election was by open ballot that is Option A4 in the 21 local government areas of the state. There were reports of violence in about three wards and non-conduct of elections in about three other wards, owing to non-arrival of materials and aside these, the elections were peaceful. Senator Chris Ngige from Anambra central senatorial zone polled 63,255 votes while Chief Godwin Ezeemo from Anambra south senatorial zone scored 9,564 votes. The former governor of Kano state, Ibrahim Shekarau was the chairman of the primary committee. Osita Izunaso and Senator Annie Okonkwo were also present at the exercise.
