Kano: Wife of Information Director murdered 10 days after wedding
Tragedy struck on Wednesday in Kano when unknown assailants strangled to death the wife of the Director of Information in the Kano State Ministry of Information and Sports, Hajiya Hadiza Usman.
This is just as the image maker of the state police, ASP Magaji Musa Majiya, confirmed arrest of some people but, however, said investigation is continuing on the matter.
Our source diclosed that the incident happened at the new bride’s residence in Sabon Gandu quarters in the metropolis at about 11 am when the unknown assailants forced their way into the apartment.
It is recalled that late Hadiza, 21, got married to the Director of Information, Alhaji Usman Yakasai ten days before the incident.
According to the deceased’s husband, between 10.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday, some unknown assailants forced their way into the apartment of his wife and strangled her to death.
The Director of information said his wife ( Hadiza) was alone in the house when the incident occurred.
However, while speaking with the spokesman for Kano Police Command, ASP Majiya, who confirmed the incident, some suspects have been arrested, while investigation is in progress.\
