Boadley Afolarin, spelling bee winner to act as Lagos one-day governor
As tradition in Lagos State for years, winner of the 2013 Lagos State Spelling Bee competition will act as a one-day governor of the state.
At the grand finale of this year’s edition of the competition, held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Ikeja, recently, 15-year-old Boadley Afolarin of Omole Senior Grammar School, from Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) emerged winner of the secondary category and will be the 2013 one-day governor of Lagos State.
The competition , organised in two phases for both primary and secondary school students, had 60 contestants from 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas as participants with both senior and junior secondary students contesting for the star prize.
